Bask in all its hideous glory.
I was going to write this a few days ago when the predictions would’ve been a little more bold, but it didn’t happen, so the predictions are less-than-bold now. Oops.
- Heavy Assault Cruiser Fleets will be much more popular than Battleship Fleets. With the revisions to all HACs and half of the medium guns in the game, alliances will find ways to rework their mainline doctrines to incorporate these Cruiser-sized ships instead. It’s a lot easier to avoid getting nuked by Bombers and blapped by Dreadnoughts in Cruisers. N3 have started using Ishtars, Black Legion seems to be sticking with Muninns and Pandemic Legion is allegedly going to try the HAM Cerberus, which leads me to my next point.
- People will unironically fly the Cerberus and the Eagle, and they won’t get dumpstered unless they deserve it. The Cerberus can put out ~700 DPS at 38k with 6 HAM Launchers and 3 BCUs. It can truck at like 2,000 m/s while staying cap stable for about 5 minutes. The Eagle can stack up to 114k EHP with 400 DPS out to about 48k and a relatively small signature radius using an afterburner. These are good ships now. They will be used despite the fact that they can still get dunked by bombers – cause guess what? Anything can get dunked by bombers.
- Roaming gangs will get much blingier. With a slew of HACs to choose from, people will actually roam in HACs, especially shield HACs. They will make for an interesting matchup with roaming nano gangs and Attack Battlecruisers.
- Bonus! The Deimos will remain the least-used HAC in the game. And that’s because it’s awful.
There you have it. Not particularly bold, but I wanted to get them out there so I can come back and get a chuckle out of them later.
Moa just looks like one fifth of a larger voltron capital ship.
What if Caldari Titans were really just interlocking subcaps? This gels with the broader theory that smaller Minmatar ships are made by blowing up larger ones.
wow such predictions
