I really hope Rubicon doesn’t do what I think it’s going to do.
With mobile, deployable cynojammers incoming, there is speculation that large-scale supercap brawls will fall by the wayside as those that have the muscle to throw around fear the inability to escalate as needed. Hell, even warp speed changes are spooking some people, despite the recently announced balances.
We’ve had two amazing, TiDi-ridden brawls for the ages within the past two weeks – two of the biggest Eve has ever seen, and it would be a shame for them to go away with these changes. That said…
I’m still glad to be a subcap-only pilot (for now), and here’s why:
(7:57:11 PM) Sovereign: LARGEST FIGHT IN EVE, AND JAFFINATOR IS HAZING TACKLE WITH CARACALS LIKE A HERO OF THE EMPIRE [Sent by Phreeze (#fleetcommanders to #insidiousempire) at 2013-11-06 00:57:38]
I had a bunch of ships in Assah left over from our Provi deployment and decided to try and firesale them and welp them into this brawl in KW- that I had been watching unfold from work. I roped together about 20 guys (8 from SC00P, ice cream supremacy) and we burned over to make our killboards pretty before welping.
What ended up happening was altogether different. We showed up, started whoring on killmails and then realized blues were trying to extract, so we started clearing tackle. In HAM Caracals and Thoraxes. And it worked.
Feels good to get something accomplished that should’ve been pretty impossible, but we blasted Dictors, Hictors and Recons with extreme prejudice, got over a billion ISK in kills for each person in the 20-man gang and got a little recognition for it.
Feels good, man.
